Hello world!

Really, i had been trying to think about a title for the first post here, but then i realized the sample post that is installed when WordPress is installed would do just fine. Because literally having no fixed office is really opening up the world to be your office. You have no limitation on where or how you work.

It has been something i have constantly thought about for a long time, is how much closer the ability to truly work without an office is. For some it has been a reality for many years, other’s never thought it possible, however many are beginning to realize the true ability of not being chained to a room as the one place you do business.

Through this blog i aim to help enable more people to see the potential of having no fixed office and working when, where and how they like. Through blog posts, suggestions, articles and anything else that comes to mind i hope to show you just how you can detach yourself from being stuck.

While i don’t want to make anyone wait to get really into the information i hope to offer here, i do have to get a few things straightened out before i start posting regular updates. So i hope in the near future you will be able to join me in having a portable office with no fixed location.

I like your concept of no fixed office.

If I closed my eyes and visualized my perfect work place it would not have time clocks, desks, or four walls. I want to work on the beach, in the sky, or anywhere I please. I encourage you to keep posting and tell us some good stories about working without a fixed location.

    Thanks.

    Hi spencer,

Thank-you for your comment, and you vision is absolutely something that i share. I love the ability to be able to walk away from my desk at home, take the laptop and just go to a coffee shop or the park and get some work done. I find my whole ability to concentrate and get things done, jumps much higher when i have this freedom.

As long as you have a fixed domain, you don’t need fixed walls.
Last month my location was the route you see at http://dawna.com/9/4/2009-1024.jpg
My chair was a Dodge Charger or hotel bed, depending on the time of day or night.

Just figure out something that is in demand. People don’t care where you sit, as long as you deliver what they want.

    Have FUN!

You are a perfect example of No Fixed Office, and i really agree with you on the idea of find something in demand, and people wont care where you are, as long as you can get it to them in a decent time.

    Cheers
